This problem was evident in 12.04, 12.10 and 13.04 (all using GNOME).

When watching video (online with Firefox or local using videos 3.6.3 or
VLC 2.0.6), the video will stop and the soundtrack stutters (seems to be
in a short loop). This fault goes away if the mouse pointer is
constantly moving. At the same time that the video is stopped, the clock
in the Indicator Applet also stops. Still happens when using SNA.
