view and you should be able to open the popdown/stop the copy from there

Not on Ubuntu 18.10.
However, there's another usability issue: there's no progress dialog.
This means that there's no obvious way to cancel the copy process. I can
see only progress indicator in the launcher.

Title:
On a new installation of Ubuntu 13.06, dragged the dropbox folder from old home
directory to home directory to move it.
Nautilus froze. Nothing happened in a while so I force closed it. Now it
opens with frozen blank window, and takes up loads of cpu, but never loads up.

..and it won't start again.

This is really bad. Now I run into this when transferring photos from my
SGS2 via FTP. Trying to open an image from the phone while file copy is
still in progress trashes Nautilus and this time also the copy process
completely.

Hmm...I wasn't even able to log out as the whole desktop froze when I
clicked the power icon. I had to kill X. Not nice.
