Could you please:
1. Reproduce the slowdown, and then without logging out...
2. Copy /var/log/Xorg.0.log, and attach it here
3. Copy .xsession-errors from your home directory, and attach it here.
4. Run: glxinfo | grep OpenGL
and attach the output here.

Slow dash rendering is a hallmark of software-only rendering. This was
a problem for a brief while in Mir due to permission problems with the
direct rendering interface. Unity can not control how the graphics
stack chooses its acceleration path so I'm marking this as invalid for
Unity.

qtdeclarative-opensource-src (Unity 7 doesn't use Qt).
