Still valid in Ubuntu 16.04.1 How to reproduce (set some invalid host and port gsettings set org.gnome.system.proxy mode 'manual' gsettings set org.gnome.system.proxy.http host 'nonexistinghost' gsettings set org.gnome.system.proxy.http port gsettings set org.gnome.system.proxy mode 'none' Expected outcome: FF will not use any proxy and any website will be normally accessible. Same problem with stale manual proxy settings in 25.0+build3-0ubuntu0.12.04.1.
