So, since the apport part of this issue is addressed in bug #764414, and
the rhythmbox portion of this is addressed in bug #1199159, this issue
can be closed and the components of it can be investigated further in
the appropriate already existing bugs.

and in bug #764414, and this sort of got messy due to the apport related
issues (which are well explained in bug #764414). Follow up in bug
#1199159 with regards to the rhythmbox portion of this.
