I am also facing same issueplease solve this prob i am just
converted to Ubuntu from Windows...and this is one of the pain in
enjoying ubuntu.

I have tried install the version that came with Raring (v
3.6.2-0ubuntu3) with the cheese-common (version of Raring) and some
other package (that I can't remember now) that was needed. This did not
help, so I guess that the problem must be among
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
