[Bug 1250043] Re: Unexpected crash in commandline mode Ubuntu 12.10 (initctl: Event failed)

2014-01-22 Thread ThomasSpr
Sorry that it took so long, I tried it with 10.10 and didn't succeed. I
will try 12.04 (Precise) but not sure when I will get to it, sorry.

2013-11-29 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
ThomasSpr, is there a prior version of Ubuntu where you can boot into
the OS without this problem (ex. Precise)?

[Bug 1250043] Re: Unexpected crash in commandline mode Ubuntu 12.10 (initctl: Event failed)

2013-11-13 Thread ThomasSpr
I will test the issue with this build as soon as I can (probably in 8
hours).

Should I reduced some partitions and keep the 12.10 version on the
system and install the trusty build OR should I just remove the 12.10
version and install the trusty build in the space currently occupied by
the 12.10 version?

[Bug 1250043] Re: Unexpected crash in commandline mode Ubuntu 12.10 (initctl: Event failed)

2013-11-13 Thread ThomasSpr
Just tested with latest Trusty build (resized a Windows partition to get
it on another harddrive), the initcl: Event failed error message
appeared before I could log in, after I tried booting from recovery
mode. (Normal booting etc. just showed blinking underscore cursor)

Can you see if this issue also exists with the latest Trusty build:
