Public bug reported: Testing new hardware with Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS.
Downloading ISO image and installing -> NICs work fine. Trying to install from PXE using the Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS netinstall image -> No NICs detected Comparing: ISO Image installation provides Kernel 3.8. PXE Image installation provides Kernel 3.2 which is not mature enough for new Intel NICs. Why are the ISO image kernel and the netinstall kernel not in sync? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: kernel-bug ** Tags added: kernel-bug -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1250761 Title: Kernel of 12.04.3 LTS netinstall image too old To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1250761/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
