Antonio Roberts, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
Would testing in a virtual machine be sufficient? I am unable to load a
development version of Ubuntu onto this production machine.

Antonio Roberts, thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, a virtual
machine would not be an appropriate testing environment for this issue.
However, if it's reproducible in a live environment, that would be fine
as a test during your production machine maintenance window.
