[Bug 1276383] Re: error failed to load ccp plugin

2014-02-05 Thread Rocko
This is a critical bug, because the desktop doesn't load and there isn't
a workaround.

If it helps, ccsm reports this:

ImportError: /usr/lib/libcompizconfig.so.0: undefined symbol:
_ZN6google8protobuf18GoogleOnceInitImplEPlPNS0_7ClosureE

I'm also experiencing this.
If it helps someone, you can still use some keyboard shortcuts to launch
graphical programs from the started X session (i.e. Ctrl+Alt+t to launch a
terminal, and then run others from there).

@davidc3: thanks, libprotobuf 2.5.0-8ubuntu1 fixes it for me, too.

Although mediascanner is now going crazy, but that's hopefully a
completely separate issue.

2014-02-05 Thread Anmar Oueja
Yes you can. I am getting around the problem by typing CTRL+ALT+t for
the terminal then launching whatever I need but no window management
so once you have a terminal on top of the other, you can get back to
it :)

I enabled proposed and got the new proto package installed. That fixed
it for sure. Of course I got a bunch of other proposed updates like
Xorg, etc when I did the apt-get update;apt-get upgrade

2014-02-05 Thread ek0892
too me,

hello me who was very stable for a development version from this morning
after update dist-upgrade, compiz crashes all.

So I just take any own ISO: Ubuntu trusty daily (current):
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ (iso 05-Feb-2014 7:54)

It explodes after new install on both a real and on a Virtual Machine
via VirtualBox.

someone else has the same problem?

Looks like it comes with a CCD Compiz ERROR
