When updating my Ubuntu 12.04.4 from the 3.11.0-17 kernel to 3.11.0-18, my
intel 7260 wireless was gone again.
Applying the described fix solved the problem (just is with the upgrade from 15
to 17).
Is this normal, given the current status of Fix Released?
I've also seen several other reports
Do you have the updated linux-firmware 1.79.10 installed? Confirm with
`dpkg -L linux-firmware | grep iwlwifi-7260-7.ucode`?
$ dpkg -l linux-firmware

My bad, I have the 1.79.10 firmware installed, and it finds the iwlwifi,
but I forgot I had switched to the iwlwifi-7260-8.ucode in an effort to
solve some other issues with the card.
I now restored the iwlwifi-7260-7.ucode, and everything works fine.
