Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox

On a fresh install of Gutsy Tribe 3, firefox will not load. On the terminal it
crashes displaying just:
"Segmentation fault (core dumped)"
Running firefox in safe mode does the same, after continuing at the safe-mode
dialog.
Firefox -ProfileManager runs, but running a new profile still causes crashes -
as does deleting the whole "~/.mozilla" directory.

In creating a gdb log as spelled out at
"https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs"; I encountered an error with gdb
itself saying:
"/build/buildd/gdb-6.6.dfsg/gdb/linux-nat.c:2389: internal-error:
linux_nat_thread_alive: Assertion `is_lwp (ptid)' failed.
A problem internal to GDB has been detected,
further debugging may prove unreliable.
Quit this debugging session? (y or n) "
after running "thread apply all backtrace full" in gdb.

** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
