Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Description: In Gnome power manage I have enabled the option that it shall go to suspend to RAM after an idle time of 30 minutes. After powering up my laptop again I typed my password to return to my running Gnome session. But then there appeard a message from Gnome Power Mangager that there were problems when (resuming) to/from suspend - can't remember it exactly because suddenly my laptop suspended to disk... After powering on my laptop again my Gnome restored Gnome session was there. In attached /var/log/messages it happended at the following time: ... Jul 28 00:44:28 localhost kernel: [36911.128000] SMP alternatives: switching to UP code Jul 28 07:37:30 localhost kernel: [36911.132000] CPU1 is down .. seems that computer suspends too early before all tasks are done!? How to reproduce: 1. Enable option in gnome-power-manager to suspend to RAM after an idle time 2. Wait that time 3. After computer is suspended power it on again. Does this always happen? Only sometimes. If I suspend to RAM manually that does not happen. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Feisty] Problems with resume from suspend to RAM on Thinkpad Z61m https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/128852 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
