You can work around this by creating a history directory in the old Mnemosyne
1.x directory.
Anyway, I've committed a fix which will be in the upcoming 2.3 release.

Seems to only happen when I run without arguments. If I run with the
.db file as an argument, it runs correctly. However still -- it should
run by default without any arguments.
