there is no way to install the firmware into my d-link router. so, the only solution is to change the resolv.conf values with: nameserver 208.67.222.222 nameserver 208.67.220.220 but the problem is that internet connection works but this values have to be save every 20 minutes..I don't know why. Have you tried: Had same problem with system resetting the DHCP Address every few mins. But I've fixed this with... Go to Routers web admin page (192.168.1.1 in my case) and to the DHCP button on the Home tab. Change the DNS mode from auto to manual and enter your ISPs DNS addresses. This seems to work for me (at the moment!!) and dunno why - all seems like magic. some weeks passed but there is absolutely no way to connect to internet.. Sorry for the late reply man.. answering your question, of course i have reboot pc, but there is no way to connect to internet. I also try using konqueror, Ephipany but nothing.. I hear about other people who have the same problem with this kind of modem and the only solution is to downgrade the kernel. Now i take this partition suspended, in the meanwhile i try to have other suggestions..if you have give me someone.. thank you very much! Now i also understand something more about my problem: I can't surf the web, but i can listen online radio with xmms, or using googleearth, and this is really strange, don't you think? Have you rebooted computer since you upgraded? I have had this kind of problem on LiveCD, where Konqueror would not access Internet but Firefox will. I have read that other have Konqueror work when Firefox don't. Also, the Network Manager may still be trying to connect.
