@Geert: I would also switch to LXDE because forcing windows controls to the left is something I find stupid (most other DEs have them on the right) and disrespectful to right-to-left users. Unfortunately, LXDE doesn't support switching among windows with Super+1..9, so I'm stuck with Unity.
