This bug report is being closed because we received no reponse to the

in the 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon release. To reopen the bug report you can

I think this might be a duplicate of #114171 and in that case a fix has
been released in the latest 7.10 Gusty Gibbon release. Could you please
download and try the new version of Ubuntu from
http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download and report back your results.

I have the same problem. But I have find a solution. The kernel loaded
r8169 but the output of lspci shows RTL 8111/8168B there is a driver on
realteks Homepage for this card.
