It's working okay on my clean install of Jaunty Kubuntu. I do have

Thanks, it looks like it's present on LiveCD sessions only. Once installed it's
working fine.
I will open a new bug for that, despite the fact I believe it's not gonna make
it for tomorrow release...

Wesley: yes, this would be easy to work around in KDE3. KDE4 seems to be
completely different :-(
The only workaround I've been able to find so far is to run ksnapshot
manually.

Goto kmenu, then search for ksnapshot (Graphics) and edit the item. Then
select the hotkey/shortcut sequence, bind it to print screen and you are
done. This is an educated guess, I'm running kde3 :)

AMD64 Kubuntu intrepid (released version) has this bug.
Everything worked fine for me on 64-bit Hardy.
If someone could post how to bind the printscreen key to ksnapshot in
KDE 4.1 that would be very helpful.

I can confirm that KDE4 doesn't have this bug on Hardy.

Since the shortcut is defined in $HOME/.kde/share/config/khotkeysrc
