Public bug reported: Binary package hint: recordmydesktop
When I choose to record full screen screencast (or almost full screen), recordmydesktop produces files that cannot be opened with Totem (or any other player as far as I know). Here's my console session woth recordmydesktop ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ recordmydesktop -o /home/astral/Desktop/ss.ogg -fps 10 --no-sound -width 1280 -height 800 -v_quality 63 -s_quality 10 --quick-subsampling -workdir /tmp --zero-compression Initial recording window is set to: X:0 Y:0 Width:1280 Height:800 Adjusted recording window is set to: X:0 Y:0 Width:1280 Height:800 Your window manager appears to be compiz Detected 3d compositing window manager. Reverting to full screen capture at every frame. To disable this check run with --no-wm-check (though that is not advised, since it will probably produce faulty results). Initializing... Capturing! Shutting down.Saved 115 frames in a total of 114 requests ..... Encoding started! This may take several minutes. Pressing Ctrl-C will cancel the procedure (resuming will not be possible, but any portion of the video, which is already encoded won't be deleted). Please wait... [100%] Encoding finished! Wait a moment please... Done. Written 1207745 bytes (1207745 of which were video data and 0 audio data) Cleanning up cache... Done!!! Goodbye! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm using Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller card. The bug occured also in feisty, but there i could nullify it by installing xserver-xorg-video-intel package. Now it's installed by default, but the bug occurs.
