Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: recordmydesktop

When I choose to record full screen screencast (or almost full screen),
recordmydesktop produces files that cannot be opened with Totem (or any
other player as far as I know).

Here's my console session woth recordmydesktop

I'm using Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller
card.

The bug occured also in feisty, but there i could nullify it by
installing xserver-xorg-video-intel package. Now it's installed by
default, but the bug occurs.
