Public bug reported: On 64bit machine the fglrx installer assume that you /usr/lib64 directory is linked to /usr/lib. I believe this is a bit risky expecially for those package that are still writing in /usr/lib64.
Last week I have installed yagf from the repository, which I guess overwrote the /usr/lib64 folder and after rebooting fglrx was not working anymore (low graphic mode error). After several attempts I found the origin of the problem. ** Affects: fglrx-installer-updates (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: trusty ** Attachment added: "Xorg.1.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327539/+attachment/4126998/+files/Xorg.1.log ** Tags added: trusty -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1327539 Title: Yagf package corrupts fglrx module To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fglrx-installer-updates/+bug/1327539/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
