Hi

I am closing this as fixed because 3.5.1 does not use its own "private"
java selector anymore. If you still have this problem, please reply to
this and we will reopen it.

It seems like eclipse should respect /etc/alternatives instead of using
its own private files in /etc

Just installed eclipse and experienced the same thing here. The above
fix solves the problem.

$ apt-show-versions eclipse
eclipse/hardy uptodate 3.2.2-5ubuntu2
