Changing password does not work for newly registered users with
Utopic's mw version is 1.19.18, and vivid's mw version is 1.19.20, so
presuming this is resolved.
PS. bug for mediawiki version update is tracked at debian bug 728347.

Changing password does not work for newly
Someone probably wants to build a new package for MediaWiki... at least
stay up with the 1.19 LTS branch (currently 1.19.8), if not up to date
with the current stable 1.23 branch.
Currently there are four security fixes not in the package that have
been released for 1.19...
