I am using Dell Latitude 3540 and Ubuntu 14.10. Brightness works just
fine (with hotkeys and in settings). However, the brightness level is
not saved when restaring computer so next time computer starts the
brightness level is at 100%. Should I report this as a new bug?

Upstream will use video.use_native_backlight=1 as default in 3.16, so I
expect this bug will be fixed in Ubuntu soon.

Does it means that for this kind of bug, they won't be fix in Trusty 14.04.
We have to wait for 14.04.2 (which will use 3.16 kernel)?
