Had the same problem and at the moment I worked around it by downgrading
to linux-image-3.2.0-60-generic. Of course this is not a permanent
solution, especially since I probably can not do the long expected
upgrade from 12.04 to 14.04 until this is fixed.

It would be nice if this bug could be given some priority, it is making
it hard to run precise as an nfs server. I've just spent some hours
chasing down this on our systems, and can confirm that it also affects
kernels 3.8.0-44 and 3.13.0-32.
It is quite easy to trigger, a 'cp -a ...' on any nfs
