This is still a problem in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. Selecting "save current
settings as default" does nothing.

This still seems to happen in Ubuntu 18.04.3. Is this an upstream
issue? Maybe get rid of the "Save current settings as default" menu
item if it does nothing?
