I figured out that the issue appers only when SATA disk connected to the COM4
port of the ASM1062 board while if your try to connect to the other internal
connector ( COM3 ) it doesn't report any issue at all.

2014-11-08 Thread Sapsa

I have been reading here that this bug is more than 2 years old now...
probably will stick to distro that support it better

Thanks for your replays.

Oh, the workaroud for my problem is to reinstall system on drive that is
connected to mobo internal SATA port, then i wont have frezee.

I will try once again in few weeks too, just to be sure, report back
with success or not - we will see

2014-11-04 Thread Sapsa
There is no 3.18-rc3 for utopic.
I dont know if it was before because I allways used debian

those are kernels avaiable and no utopic rc3 there:
[DIR] v3.18-rc3-vivid/03-Nov-2014 00:16 -
[DIR] v3.18-rc2-vivid/28-Oct-2014 22:28 -
[DIR] v3.18-rc2-utopic/ 27-Oct-2014 01:44 -
[DIR] v3.18-rc1-utopic/

Sapsa, the names of each kernel are irrelevant for the purposes of
testing in a given release.

[Bug 1388559] Re: failed command: WRITE FPDMA QUEUED

2014-11-03 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Sapsa, did this problem not occur in a release prior to Utopic?

As well, could you please test the latest mainline kernel 3.18-rc3 and
advise to the results?

[Bug 1388559] Re: failed command: WRITE FPDMA QUEUED

2014-11-02 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Sapsa, is there any notable performance impact?

As well, did this problem not occur in a release prior to Utopic?

Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very
top line at the top of the page (not the daily folder) following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional
upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream
kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this
bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags:
kernel-fixed-upstream
kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested exactly
shown as:
kernel-fixed-upstream-3.18-rc2

This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil
icon next to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:
kernel-bug-exists-upstream
kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's
Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your
understanding.

Sapsa, if you can't boot, then it's not considered kernel-bug-exists-
upstream. Despite this, could you please test 3.18-rc1 and advise if
this allows a testing environment?
