Public bug reported:

It happens at intermittent times, there is no logic to it in terms of I
do this and it happens. Always the 1st attempt is wrong, regardless if
the pwd is correct or not. Very irritating.

Not absolutely sure if this should be filed against Gnome proper or GOA.
So, feel free to change to the appropriate package if this is wrong.

Title:
  Continually am prompted for Google credentials. First time pwd is
  always wrong, 2nd input takes. This happened on Debian Jessie awhile
  ago too.
