I've tested on a utopic host.
I can confirm this bug seems to be fixed in 14.10 (libvirt 1.2.8)...
Seems to be a bug only in trusty. (also raring working fine)

I wasn't able to reproduce this on a utopic laptop. (In a trusty VM I'm
having some different issues). Can you verify whether this is fixed for
you in 14.10?
