smartphone that is not working?
As well, are there other bluetooth devices that do allow you to
send/receive data?
Also, could you please test the latest mainline kernel 3.19-rc2 and
advise to the results?

Christopher, my smartphone is a THL 5000 with Android 4.4.2.
It works without problems with another bluetooth dongle: I attached the
lsusb -v for this other device.
I will try the latest kernel.

Christopher, I tried the latest kernel (3.19.0-031900rc3-generic)
Result is the same: I get the dongle in the available devices but it doesn't
connect.
On the other hand, the other dongle works.

I updated the bios to version 1101: the bug is still there. You can
remove the tag.
Now I will try the upstream kernel.

As well, did this problem not occur in a release prior to Trusty?

Fabio, I noticed you removed the kernel-bug-exists-upstream tag. Is this
no longer reproducible in the latest mainline kernel?

Christopher,
1) I removed that tag beacuse you inserted a more detailed one, namely
kernel-bug-exists-upstream-3.18.1, so my tag looked to me redundant (maybe I
shouldn't have removed it: I am unfamiliar with launchpad)
2) As you asked me, I tested a live cd with ubuntu 12.04.0 (amd64) and

Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
