The loading screen never loads and I get a black screen and cursor. With the latest updates I no longer get a message that kdeinit5 has crashed on logout. I'm still left with a cursor and blank screen though. Just thought I'd add that I've tested my system using systemd init mode (selected in Grub) and the problem is still there. I was able to work around the problem by getting to a text console, and executing sudo restart sddm on Kubuntu 15.05 alpha2. Logout causes this every single time for me; it is not intermittent or sporadic.
