Chris, I tried burning the new version to a DVD and ran that as well but i get the same error message about nautilus. So i have booted into jaunty and i don't get the DMA errors. I also booted live into The DMA error is present in Lucid and my current release. Those are the only 3 other live cd's

it's important to note that this issue doesn't occur immediately it happens after the computer has been on for more than 7 hours or so it's very variable as far as the time it has to stay on. I will put the vivid on a USB stick and boot it though just to test. I do know on ubuntu 9.04 i didn't

I updated the bios to F7 and no change. It is also may be important to not i was getting the same error with my hard drives as well. Switching the AHCI mode fixed it but now for whatever reason every time i boot i have to press S to skip mounting a drive. It didn't do this before switching to AHCI
