Public bug reported:

When launching ubuntu Setup from CD i realized a small error that
happens when I install Ubuntu 14.04.1-amd64

Case 1, Install-Gui with proposed keyboard Input:

After selecting "German" language and my location in the Setup it proposes the
Keyboard layouts from Switzerland but when typing in the test field I actually
got the German keymap (Instead of Swiss-German) which i know and differs a lot.
The error persists even when selecting the other Swiss-layouts.
You can just ignore that wrong layout ond go on with installation.
On the next screen where you enter username, etc the keyboard layout switched
to the correct one.

After a reboot it actually has the correct layout on Login-Screen and also
after Login. The correct layout was installed.
You can select us and swiss-german and both are present under input methods.

This means that the error is just on the Test Field but it gets worse if
you try auto-detect!

Case 2, Using auto-detect because of the wrong letters on the test field:

When I click on auto-detect:
I press "Y" ("Z" on US),
then it asks if "ö" exists and asks to press it (":" colon next to "L" on US).
Last question is if "é" (";" Shift+colon on US) does exist which is true.
I wrote the US keys to make it easyier to reproduce.

In the list on the right side all "Switzerland..." entries were gone and
"Shweiz" was selected which wasn't there before to choose.
This way it selects the right layout for the test field.

but this is only true for the test field and for the next step when you
enter your username, etc. Here it still looks good.

Even if it appears right at this time after installation completes and reboots
it starts getting worse.
Actually the layout on the login-screen is US and cannot be changed to others
than English (USA). The symbol for it is in the top bar.

After Login still US layout and current input-methode symbol is gone in
the top bar.

Looking in the Settings I see that there is no input-mothod in the list and I
have to manually add it; German (Switzerland).
Also English (USA) wasn't in the list like it should so i added it too.

After adding them everything is great. Small fix if you know how.

Case 3, Selecting right keymap with "F3" before setup:

In this case i select the keymap before starting the Setup. This way the
test field later on the GUI will show the right letters and you wouldn't
realize an error expect if you use "auto-detect" which nobody would if
it's already showing correct.

Short said:
Case 1 just show the wrong keymap in the test field, but doesn't affect further
steps.
Case 2 ends in missing input-methods because of auto-detect, even if it looks
good until the end of the installation.
Case 3 is like case 1 but the test field shows the correct keymap.

I hope that somebody can fix this errors because i saw this (Case 2) with
several installations even on other distros as well and some users don't know
how they actually add a keymap if there is no symbol in the top bar.
I tried all cenarios an different machines and can reproduce it to a 100%.

I'll try with 32-bit too, I think it also exists there.
