Public bug reported: I ran "sudo do-release-upgrade -d" on a Utopic amd64 system, to upgrade it to Vivid Beta 2. I was informed menu-cache-gen crashed. The release upgrade appears to be continuing without problems. If the upgrade fails and I cannot rule this bug out as the cause, I will update this bug report. Otherwise, hopefully the attached data (e.g., stack trace) will document the bug sufficiently.
