[Bug 144985] Re: displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged()
Thank you for reporting this bug and for your efforts to make Ubuntu better. As Xorg has improved this past year, an unfortunate side effect of these improvements is that it has rendered several design assumptions in displayconfig-gtk obsolete. So, starting with Hardy we are no longer putting displayconfig-gtk forth as a primary configuration tool, and are putting our development focus into the Screen Resolution applet. As a result, we do not plan to fix this bug and thus are closing it. For more background on this change, please see this page: [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/DisplayConfigGtk ** Changed in: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Won't Fix -- displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 144985] Re: displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged()
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release, Hardy Heron? Thanks in advance. -- displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 144985] Re: displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged()
Hardy Heron has allowed me the use suspend. I still can't get hibernate to work but even it doesn't crash the system it just takes me back to a log in screen. One thing I miss having with Hardy Heron is my wireless antennae control. This is an Intel wireless 3945. The light does not come on even though the antennae is on, and I cannot turn the antennae off. Otherwise I'm quite happy with Heron and looking forward to Ibis. -- Original message -- From: Hew [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Re: [Bug 144985] Re: displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged()
Fuzzy resolution on my Dell is usually due to the wrong monitor / resolution setup. Using Gutsy I have this happen when the system crashes from a video problem and resets itself to a resolution that my display does not use. [Bug 144985] Re: displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged()
Same with me ... I can't even select my TV-OUT or change my Montitor driver. Once I try it crashes... besides, changing base-resolution won't work either. [Bug 144985] Re: displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged()
I added a work arround in guidance. But I don't know what causes this error. Which resolutions do you see in the chooser? Have you chosen a specific model for your monitor or did you use the Plug'n'Play one? ** Changed in: displayconfig-gtk (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 144985] Re: displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged()
All I did was select the secondary monitor and made it a clone. After that my primary screen (laptop lcd) went to 640x480 and the application created a crash report. The application itself didn't crash, I could still click around and close it normally. -- displayconfig-gtk crashed with IndexError in isResolutionSettingsChanged() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
