Public bug reported: I need to program a robot through USB.
But he is not detectable in my Ubuntu on laptop. I try make it in Ubuntu at my desktop and he is successfully detected. The commands after robot connexion at my Ubuntu 7.04 in my Laptop Dell Latitude C400 give me: dmesg usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 40 usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 41 usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 42 usb 1-1: device not accepting adress 42, error -71 usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 43 usb 1-1: device not accepting adress 43, error -71 lsusb 0000:0000. Others devices are detected in Ubuntu successfully! I try to connect my robot in WinXP and it's also works. I find the same problem in the friend's new Toshiba laptop. I fix this problem connecting my robot through USB Hub (without power supply). Through USB Hub he is detected successfully, but without - not! Thanks.
