The package built successfully on launchpad, and I was able to download
and extract the source on my Trusty machine.

Can you re-upload:
The source usbredir - 0.6-2ubuntu2 is already accepted in ubuntu/utopic and you
cannot upload the same version within the same distribution. You have to modify
the source version and re-upload.
So perhaps use 0.6-2ubuntu1.1 ?
