I didn't find any upstream kernels where the trackpad was detected. Preston, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page (the release names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? I upgraded my BIOS to 209 - still no dice - why would upgrading BIOS help the trackpad though? The trackpad works in windows. Anywho, as for 'what happened' - I really can't say - as much as I'd love to.
