Thanks replying and apologies for the delay - busy week! Finally found some time to dig out the log (learning a thing or two about adb on the way which has been good). I whittled it down to what I hope are the important parts - shows connecting to Vodafone then BT WiFi. Could you attach /var/log/syslog from the phone when it's connected to both wifi and 3G? We should be able to know from there whether it includes all the nameservers it should.
