Chris, I have updated the BIOS from the link provided as requested. But, nothing changed, still WIFI card is not getting detected. Moreover, by default, Secure Boot was enabled, so only Windows was loading everytime. So, I went into the BIOS setup and disabled the Secure Boot. But still, the grub is not showing up and Windows is booting by default. So, I had to open the Boot menu manually and choose Ubuntu to bring up Ubuntu. After that I found that there is no change to the connectivity. Its still the same. The output of the given command is: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date A2CN34WW(V2.02) 02/28/2015 Could you please let me know how to make the grub appear as before the BIOS update even with the Secure boot disabled ? Is there any command to make it work ? Hi Chris, The apport-collect 1456656 did not work in the live version. Thanks Chris for your reply. I have downloaded and tried the Ubuntu as live CD without installing. But, still no luck. It is not showing/ detecting the wireless connection. Hi I have run the command apport-collect 1456656. How to update the upstream kernal ? The latest version of kernal is 3.16.0-37 is shown in my Update Manager. The default kernal now is 3.13.0-37. Should I update it to the latest kernal in the Update Manager ?
