I have the exact same problem and also the exact same result from debugging. Tested with Kubuntu 7.10 beta, with kernels 2.6.22-12-generic and 2.6.22-13-generic both with and without restricted graphics drivers. Just tried the update to the -13 kernel. Symptoms persist: suspend successfully, does not resume. Followed these instructions: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspend After running sync; echo 1 /sys/power/pm_trace; /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force same symptoms occur (suspend works, resume fails). Did hard reboot after resume failure, then did dmesg dmesg_pmtrace.txt which is attached. The only named hash match after resume.c is device ptytd. What is that? Some sort of terminal?
