In my case the distribution is Ubuntu 8.04, but I got the same message as the
very fist one,
I had also previously got that reported by Anthony Lovell, and something else
came up today, I have no idea if it is linked, but it read:
SIOCGIFFLAG error:no such device

Yes, it sounds funny. Bug was gone a few hours later and it happened
