---Steps to Reproduce---
Install PowerNV 8335-GTA P8 Hardware with Ubuntu 14.04.3 Netboot images.
Then disabled the nouveau driver and then rebooted the kernel by adding
runlevel 3 as the system kernel boot parameter.
root@tul8p1:~# cat /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-nouveau.conf
blacklist nouveau
options nouveau modeset=0
root@tul8p1:~# update-initramfs -u
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.19.0-21-generic
root@tul8p1:~# cat /proc/cmdline
root=UUID=c585c18c-9071-428d-8248-ef6b4e55fdbd ro quiet splash

nomodeset
After rebooting the Nvidia driver is not loading automatically.
Also, tried to manually load the nvidia driver but still it fails.

modprobe: FATAL: Module nvidia not found.
root@tul8p1:~# modinfo nvidia
modinfo: ERROR: Module nvidia not found.
