Public bug reported: Binary package hint: qemu
On a Ubuntu 7.10 installed host machine I'm having trouble installing 7.10 on a guest machine. Download the latest Gutsy Gibbon (7.10) Beta ISO from the following url: http://releases.ubuntu.com/releases/7.10 Go ahead and launch it under QEMU: qemu -cdrom ubuntu-7.10-beta-desktop-i386.iso -boot d Normally, at this point you should get a nice LiveCD display... Instead I get the following error message: BusyBox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-5ubuntu4) Built-in shell (ash) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands. /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off (initramfs) _ This hinders my ability to run Ubuntu 7.10 on 7.10. ** Affects: qemu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gutsy Beta's ISO does not boot in QEMU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/147535 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
