*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 96991 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/96991 I also get this with the intel driver especially with AWN you can see the rectangle where it is trying to render. [Bug 148110] Re: compiz opengl rendering artefacts
This is a driver problem. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: compiz = xserver-xorg-video-intel ** Also affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- compiz opengl rendering artefacts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 148110] Re: compiz opengl rendering artefacts
When I run Tremulous with the Gutsy compiz effects enabled the mouse doesn't work, however rendering appears okay. I run the game in full screen, but with Compiz enabled it goes windowed mode sometimes. tremulous works well when Compiz is disabled. Tremulous was installed from the repositories, the nvidia driver is installed from the restricted devices. Everything else is stock on Gutsy. -- compiz opengl rendering artefacts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 148110] Re: compiz opengl rendering artefacts
I'm seeing similar results with the intel driver. It appears to happen whenever a compiz item tries to overlay the 3d window in Celestia. [Bug 148110] Re: compiz opengl rendering artefacts
To clarify the above post, the artifacting was occurring using the ati driver. -- compiz opengl rendering artefacts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

On Tue, 2007-10-02 at 21:41 +, Michael Vogt wrote: This seems to be a driver issue to a certain extend, I was not able to reproduce it on nvidia. I forgot, sorry: I'm seeing it on intel 915GM, too. And strange too: since the update of today, 10/3, compiz version 1:0.6.0 +git20071002-0ubuntu1 (nice version number, ;-)) I'm not seeing it in stellarium but I do in ppracer. I guess that maybe the resolution of the fullscreen app has something to do with it. I guess that this is another issue than the artefacts I see in celestia, which is not fullscreen and is not only flickering. I'll open a new bug report on that and attach screenshots. -- compiz opengl rendering artefacts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/148110 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 148110] Re: compiz opengl rendering artefacts
Thanks for your bugreport. I can confirm this behavior here with the ati driver. I tried both unidirect fullscreen windows on and off without any difference.
