Hi. My modem is ZTE MF 180S. The modem identifies as CR-ROM but it doesn't
switches in modem mode.
However the modem works correctly on my second laptop (Dell Vostro 1015). My
first laptop (Dell Inspiron 7548) has not an ethernet port and my second laptop
has it. I used Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu

My exact situation concerns another usb modem from ZTE - MF110
I wanted to mention that it worked pretty well under KUbuntu 15.04
(NetworkManager 0.9.7).
Furthermore, after trying the first connect sequence the device cannot
be polled for signal monitoring.
At least, does anyone have a clue how
