Public bug reported: There is a usability issue in Lubuntu. When running an application by double clicking an icon on the desktop, no feedback is given to the user.
For example create a Firefox icon and double click on it, or run Firefox through the panel. Firefox can take couple of seconds to start. In the meantime, nothing is displayed to the user to confirm that he clicked on Firefox. The mouse icon does not change to hourglass, and there is no noticeable change on the desktop. Expected behavior is some feedback like a change of the mouse cursor or anything else.
