I have kubuntu hardy amd64, and I also have problems with gstreamer. I
cannot play the song, and when using the cursors or the enter in the
singing screen, it crashes. The output is attached

I too couldn't get the 0.1.4. version to run on my system but there's a
new(er) ultrastar-ng version, 0.2.1, that compiles fine on my gutsy
amd64 system. Tried to make a .deb but failed (first time trying). Maybe
someone with more experience in building debian packages could do it?
