I turned off hinting but i still get blurry ness in the console window only when i'm installing an application or updates and watching it, everything else seems fine, by the way i'm using a CRT with subpixel on with hinting off tho makes fonts look better on my 17f3 monitor from eview. :) abeit

I created the file /etc/fonts/conf.d/lcdfilder-legacy.conf with the content suggested by towolf, but nothing happened. Yes, I restarted fontconfig, the X server, then the whole system, but without success. Is there a sure way to get the legacy behavior? -- inferior subpixel hinting on gutsy
