[Bug 1548317] Re: kernel: [some.number] Bluetooth: hci0 ACL packet for unknown connection handle ##

2016-03-06 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Fredrik Jacobsson, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu
better.

As per http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-
netbooks/Lenovo-G-Series-laptops/G50-45-Notebook-
Lenovo?linkTrack=GPS:Body_Search%20Products=false an update to your
computer's buggy, insecure, and outdated BIOS is available (38). If you
update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate
does it change anything?

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

Also, you don't have to create a new bug report.

Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible:
1) Please provide the output of the following terminal command (not perform an
apport-collect):
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
2) Please make a comment specifically advising on if there was an improvement
or not.
3) Please mark this report Status Confirmed.

If it's not reproducible, please mark this as Invalid.

Thank you for your understanding.

[Bug 1548317] Re: kernel: [some.number] Bluetooth: hci0 ACL packet for unknown connection handle ##

2016-02-22 Thread Fredrik Jacobsson
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected xenial

** Description changed:

Bluetooth receiver doesn't connect with kernel after sleep/boot-up. The
receiver is awake because "kernel: [339132.269449] Bluetooth: hci0 ACL packet
for unknown connection handle ##" appears in the system log because I'm shaking
the mouse.
Sometimes it takes over 4 minutes of shaking to reconnect the mouse.

I do not know where to report this bug.

Is it the kernel? Because it's the kernel that report that something is
happening on the bluetooth receiver.
Is it HCI? Because if I reset hci0, I have to shake the mouse again.
Is it the hardware driver that enter sleep mode incorrectly?
And finally, is it the bluetooth stack?
