Public bug reported:
The gnome panel sometimes stops updating (clock stops for example)
although it's still running and working (launchers work, main menu
opens, etc). This seems to be related to compiz since disabling effects
seems to bring it back to life. I'm using a custom set of effects using
compizconfig-settings-manager.
